Federal and Virginia tax law
Charles Davenport practices in the areas of federal income tax and estate planning. He is a graduate of the Harvard University School of Law and is a co-author of Farm Income Tax Manual. He is past assistant director of the Congressional Budget Office for Tax Analysis and the Department of Treasury.
Davenport is a Professor of Law at Rutgers University School of Law, Newark, where he teaches federal income tax, estate planning, and business law. He has authored several books and numerous articles in scholarly journals and the popular press. He is Senior Consulting Editor for Tax Analysts, a nonprofit taxexmpt organization, and published Tax Notes.
